Swan Reaches Semifinal in Kentucky

Katie Swan was on form at the Braidy Industries $60,000 Women’s Tennis Classic after reaching the semifinals of both the singles and doubles events. In singles, Katie advanced to the semifinals after defeating USA’s Ann Li 6-2, 4-6, 6-4. In the next match Katie lost to Australia’s Ellen Perez in a very close three set thriller 7-6(6), 0-6, 6-3. 

In the doubles semifinal, Katie, partnered with Maria Sanchez of the USA, lost out to the eventual winners, American pair Marand and Whoriskey 6-2, 6-2. 

Well done on a very promising week of results and for coming through two tight three set matches.
